Life is like a library owned by the author. In it are a few books which she wrote herself, but most of them were written for her. Leading me to say, the best asset anyone can have is to have someone believe in her. I say no one can contest to that.

The Secret - The Law of attraction

I have seen the lecture/movie whichever you want to call it just last night though I've heard it from a friend months ago. It uses common language anyone wold understand and is dfinitely enlightening. Personally, it made me realize how important it is to always see on the bright side of everything.

Itroughly takes 40 - 60mins of your time to sit back and watch and as it always says "it may change your lif forever."

The Secret has existed throughout the history of humankind. It has been discovered, coveted, suppressed, hidden, lost and recovered. It has been hunted down, stolen, and bought for vast sums of money. Now for the first time in history, The Secret is being revealed to the world over two breathtaking hours. A number of exceptional men and women discovered The Secret, and went on to become known as the greatest people who ever lived. Among them: Plato, Leonardo, Galileo, Napoleon, Hugo, Beethoven, Lincoln, Edison, Einstein and Carnegie, to name but a few. Fragments of The Secret have been found in the oral traditions, in literature, in religions and philosophies throughout the centuries. For the first time, all the pieces of The Secret come together in an incredible revelation which will be life transforming for all who experience it. Some of today's greatest teachers will be presented in The Secret and will impart this special wisdom that has been known by so few. They include some of the world's leaders in the fields of business, economics, medicine, psychology, history, theology and science. Each of these teachers is living proof of The Secret; each of them a walking marvel of achievement and success... Included are; 'Miracle Man' Morris Goodman, who tells his awe inspiring story of how he recovered from paralysis by using The Secret. Dr. Denis Waitley, who used various aspects of The Secret in training Olympic athletes and Apollo astronauts to reach new heights of human endeavour. Best selling authors and philosophers including Bob Proctor, John Assaraf, James Ray and Joe Vitale, explain how they have created lives of phenomenal success utilising The Secret. Doctors in the fields of medicine and quantum physics explain the science behind The Secret. The Secret reveals amazing real life stories and testimonials of regular people who have changed their lives in profound ways. By applying The Secret they present instances of eradicating disease, acquiring massive wealth, overcoming obstacles and achieving what many would regard as impossible. The Secret reveals how to apply this powerful knowledge to your life in every area from health to wealth, to success and relationships. The Secret is everything you have dreamed of... and is beyond your wildest dreams.

Never Will you be Forgotten

We still think about you... We may have not got used to sweet talks, touchy moves but with the life you've had in this world - with the life you spent especially so at the later days when there was no one but you, me and the love of our life - the queen of our hearts has been quite wonderful. May have actually been the best days of our lives together. There isn't really much o say, we all know that greater half of our life have not been a good sister - brother relationship. We even had huge fight, boxing spree " ala Pacquio". I don't know if we feel the same way but those days for me were long time gone. Few months before you left, I actually accepted that there is no one else but the 3 of us. We've always found ourselves having no one but us. We do not have a FAMILY (I can't remember how it feels to have one anymore), but of course we have common parents but it doesn't constitute to having positive feelings towards each other. Never been like that for us I guess. It's really sad that till the end of your journey these peopel had to swarm and conquer you. But then again, that's how i is really we just got to accept and live with it. Just the way you did till the end.

Do not worry about the queen, she's with me and that's how it's gonna be. The end of the road for you is getting shorter in a few days you'd be totally gone but never will you be forgotten.

I Salute you

This to me is a surprise. I never thought I would find myself writing again drawing it from the death of my brother Jun (or Andy as friends call him). I've actually hated him in some point in my life. He was the favorite of my mom (though she denies it most of the time)but I guess any mother would feel like that especially so there is no one in the family who felt positive towards kuya. He have been jobless almost 3/4 of his life, wasn't able to manage a single relationship because of his drunkeness.

Kuya Jun is a person who would prefer to run away from things than to face them. He would drink till he drop to the floor whenever he's faced with reality. The latter part of his life I know he have tried to win back life. He was given hope a lot of times but left to the ground weeping by a lot of people.

I am fortunate enough to have been able to witness the chance that was given to him I was used as a tool to help him to in some way raise his dignity. It have not been much but he's proven his part to the person who loved him from beginning to end - Ima. I say that is all that matters, make the person who love you happy and contented to what they see in you and that's what he did. For that, I salute you bro!

Life after death

Have you heard about the cliche that goes, "There is life after death." Indeed there is, though I may interpret it differently - There are two sides of it. The life after the death of the person himself/herself and the life of the people whom that person left behind. We are always speaking about the life after the death of the person but as I see it there is really nothing to worry on that part of the story as we will all in one way or the other return to our creator at the end of the road.

What I am more worried is the life of the people who were left.

Fathers die leaving their children and wife behind to worry about their future if these children can pursue college when the mother is a plain housewife.

Mothers die leaving children behind with no one to look after their everyday needs, no one to guide them through the jungle of life.

I could go on and on but would clearly end up with questions in our mind... When someone dies where would their soul go? Would they be there to guide their loved ones still?

Life is like that, a phase we all go through so lets all make sure that we pass this phase in such a way we can leave beautiful stories for others to tell. Make your life a phase people can keep dear to their hearts. Mistakes happen, yes they do but that doesn't mean we should just let mistakes come as often. We were given the mind to think and the heart to feel for otherslets make use of them and lead a blissful life.

Death of a family member

June 8,2007 (around 10:30am), a sudden news came - he's dead. Kuya Jun have left his earthly body and have joined Tatang after 17yrs the senior and the junior have reunited again. The news was so sudden everyone who heard of it were totally shocked. he wasn't telling much about how he felt (if any) except for the itsy bitsy pain in his chest the past week. He would dab the "Manaoag oil" we brought home.

Yes, it was sudden but according to some friends and relatives he have left signs that he would be taking his journey on the other end. He was asking people questions like, "Pare, pag namatay ako pupunta ka ba?" "(on the funeral/burial of his friend in 2006 he uttered) Next year ako naman".

His life with us wasn;t that pleasant we would always feel bad about him because of his drunkenness and him being jobless. I am guilty of that myself. We'd always argue about that silently. There were times I know I've instilled the some pain in his heart but I am positive that he understands why. My condemnation of things may seem for me not to care for him but the later years of his life as people we both love have drawn us together. Karen and Ima have been a big part of the closeness we developed few months before his death. He would sentimentally say how much he appreciates how I pawned my cellphone just to bail him out of jail when he got into trouble December 2005. He knows that I'm the type who would do things that I mean, say what I mean no matter how much I try to be plastic I unintentionally become sincere with my acts.

I really admire how Ima took things upon her all this time up to the end for Kuya. She stayed by him all the time in her own special ways. A true 'mother' to him.

I find myself now thinking who would do this, who would do that..but then again, life is a journey sometimes we take turns and find ourselves no where to go but to face tomorrow with a prayer and a positive thinking, "everything will be okay."

His passsing a way was such an eye opener for me we really would not know what's behind the word "tomorrow". We should take every step of our journey the way they should. Do things with pride the way you know you will not regret in the end. I am glad I was able to give him a chance in some way that we haven't been felling bitter towards each other his last stay with us. We got to spend time laughing, talking about life though in a light way. I bet whereever he is now, he is watching over me and Ima in us he found a family. I have always felt thankful and happy for him when the news came - he deserves this rest, he deserves toget the life that's for him. A life with no pain, no sorrow, no hardship - a life with our almighty creator.

Designer and Project Runway star Michael Kors recently pacified representatives of The Humane Society of the United States by agreeing to stop using raccoon dog fur in his clothing lines. But Kors is still turning a blind eye to the suffering of the countless other animals he still uses for their fur. His recent action won't result in the deaths of fewer animals-just different animals.

Many top designers, including Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Marc Bouwer, and Kenneth Cole, have chosen to take a compassionate stand and rid their lines of fur-or have never used fur at all. There is no reason for Michael Kors not to do the same.

PETA has met with Kors' team-including his head designer-and shown them a video that reveals the horrific suffering endured by animals used for fur, but Kors also needs to hear from you. Please take a moment to politely ask him to do the truly compassionate thing and remove all fur from his designs.

Animals are simply not ours to wear. For PETA's free guide to compassionate clothing, please visit FurIsDead.com.

For animals,
Louise

Burberry: When Plaid Goes Bad

Burberry may be best known for its distinctive plaid, but its use of real fur is making the design house synonymous with cruelty to animals. Burberry continues to use fur in its designs despite the fact that leading clothing retailers like J.Crew, Ann Taylor, Polo Ralph Lauren, and others have pulled fur from their stores forever.
Animals on fur farms spend their entire lives confined to cramped, filthy wire cages, where they are exposed to all weather conditions. They often go without adequate shelter, clean water, and veterinary care, and they are denied the opportunity to engage in natural behaviors like climbing, burrowing, and swimming. The intensive confinement causes many of them to go insane.
Fur farmers use the cheapest and cruelest killing methods available, including suffocation, electrocution, gassing, and poisoning. Many animals are electrocuted by having rods inserted into their rectums and 240 volts sent through their bodies. The animals convulse, shake, and often cry out before they have heart attacks and die. Crude killing methods aren't always effective, and sometimes animals "wake up" while they are being skinned.
Burberry knows about the suffering that goes into every fur-trimmed coat, hat, and bag, yet the company continues to use fur in its designs. With so many fashionable, comfortable alternatives available, there is no excuse for Burberry to continue using dead, tortured animals in its designs.

The Edge of my Coin

To have a sense of Family Values is to have good thoughts and good intentions, to love and care for those who we are close to and are part of our primary social group, such as children, parents, other family members and friends.
Those who possess a sense of Family Values would be considerate and careful with their conduct making sure not to leave behind a poisoned and polluted world for one's family and loved ones.
Those who possess a sense of Family Values would not support nor stab their community in the back by closing down the employment source of thousands of people in the community and take the jobs to China or India or any other labor camp to make more profit.
Those who possess a sense of Family Values would not allow the pillage of other people's property, rights, dignity and would not allow meddling in the economic and political affairs of other nations for profit. They would not stand for dominating other nation's lives for worse in order to obtain cheap fuel for their automobiles.
The simple fact is that we are and have been punished by those who were subjected to the bad un-neighborly foreign policy by the Europeans and Americans. The obvious lack of Family Values in the policy-making of Europeans and Americans is the support and aide given to corrupt criminal businessmen and politicians to promote their barbaric colonialism, which began over one hundred years ago. It accelerated after the WW II by colonialist criminals such as the Eisenhower administration, the CIA and British Prime Minster Churchill, in order to steal oil and protect the criminal oil interests of British and American companies.
Those who possess a sense of Family Values would not allow anyone to act carelessly and in a greedy fashion. Having and understanding Family Values is to be a kind, caring, honorable, neighborly, generous, compassionate, fair, and a peace-loving people.

This side of my Coin

Below is an article from one of the greatest preacher of this generation, the preacher in blue jeans no other than Bro. Bo Sanchez...

The Philippines Is #1 In Call Centers
Filed under: Blogs — bo sanchez @ 9:01 am

Ang galing talaga ng Pinoy. One of the TOYM co-awardees with me is Benedict Hernandez, the guy behind E-telecare, one of the three largest Call Centers in the country. Under his leadership, his company grossed P8 Billion last year. (I told him, “No wonder we’re both TOYM awardees. Gosh, we’re so alike. Last year, my food business earned the same figure. Almost. My business grossed P8T…”)From him, I learned that the Philippines is now the #1 choice for Call Centers in the entire world. Hey, we’re not only #1 in Boxing, #1 in Billiards, we’re also #1 in Call Centers. (I’m sure Benedict Hernandez won’t like my analogy, but to me, he’s like the Manny Pacquiao of Call Centers.)Somehow, I always thought India was first, and we were second. I got that idea after reading Thomas Friedman’s humongous book, The World Is Flat. But Benedict said that three years ago, that question on who’s the best was already settled—and the Philippines is champ. Though our Call Centers are 20% more expensive than other countries, Filipinos provide superior quality. Naks! Because this superior quality spells repeat customers (and thus higher profits) for these giant companies, the Philippines has become their first choice. In fact, Benedict told me that he had American companies who at first turned them down, built their Call Centers in other countries, only to return to them again after a few years. They were not satisfied and wanted the quality that our Call Centers provide. The entire Call Center industry now gives 150,000 jobs to Filipinos. Benedict’s own company hires an additional 650 new Call Center agents per month. They actually double in size every year. Here’s the projection: In four years, the entire Call Center industry will give 500,000 jobs to Filipinos. Half-a-million people and their families will be fed!But here’s something that I didn’t know. In four years, the Call Center industry will give the country $10B each year. Do you know that’s the same amount of money that OFW’s remit back to the Philippines each year? Remember how people always say that without the OFW remittances each year, our country’s economy would have gone down the dogs? Well, here’s another industry that will bless the Philippines with another $10B!And the bonus? No one has to go out of the country.I believe that the CALL CENTER industry is a gift to our country.I asked Benedict, “Five hundred thousand agents is a lot of people. Can you find enough qualified Filipinos for that?” He said he’s confident they can, even if the standards are very tough.Reality: For every one hundred applicants, only one gets hired. But from those that they reject, they choose a few with potential to undergo free training—and even pay them to be trained! Today, 30% of their new hires come from these “once-rejected-but-now-trained” applicants.Gosh, I felt so much hope for our country. After talking to Benedict, I realized that all these wouldn’t have been possible if English wasn’t our second language. Both the Call Center industry and even the OFW industry wouldn’t have been possible without it.But mind you, Call Center agents aren’t just telephone operators.Benedict’s company even has agents that sell mutual funds and stocks for the US Stock Market. That sophisticated. Don’t be confused with the technology they use (telephone) with the high expertise they need to have.I thank God magaling talaga ang Pinoy.

I can't think of a better introduction of this blog than presenting top you one of the "world" I live in... The call center.
